    Verminion queue lockout

What causes a lockout from queueing from the LoV tournament match? My friend and I have been playing against each other, but he suddenly wasn't able to register for the next match and we can't figure out why. Nor does it specify how long he's locked out for. He can still access the regular duty finder.

Let me guess. You're win trading and he didn't summon any minions against you for a certain period of time, causing the lockout.

<sigh>...this is so depressing to me. Yeah, you're locked out by calling it quits...but honestly, and I normally don't attempt to call out people like this, but if you are indeed win-trading, I find it incredibly pathetic. It's a huge part of why LoVM (and TT) died on release. We're still waiting for SE to actually fix this problem, but for those who want the easy "win", instead of actually playing the game, I just...I can't stand it anymore. What happened to real gaming? Why do these people even play video games? I'm not trying to troll, I really want to know...what's the point in undermining something, and in turn making it unapproachable, when it could be fun? I just don't get it...

There is no other realistic option on my server. I did win-trading with a FC member for the first few tournaments to get the minion, and placed on the leader board in each of them with only 10 wins.

We're just trying to get the penguin minion. Not enough people on my server play the tournaments to even fill up the ranking board, you'd probably get in the top 20 with 1 point. So it's not like we're preventing anyone from getting a prize. Plus, if we did actually try, he would beat me in every match. I'm so much slower because I use controller on PS4 and he's on PC. If he doesn't let me win, I'll never get the minion. I can't even get through the AI battles for the Twintania minion.

Now there's something they need to fix. It looks like it could probably be a fun game, but it's virtually unplayable for many of us just by which platform we're on. SE did really well at designing the main FFXIV game to work well with console controllers, but then came up with this broken system for the mini-game within it.

I agree that SE really needed/needs to pay due diligence to the unapproachable factor of the PS controls, I can't knock anyone on that, it is definitely a huge part of why win-trading is considered essential. I apologize for my previous statement since you fall into that bracket, Nalia (though I have heard some people prefer the console controls, but they might be crazy). That being said, the majority of win-traders don't have that excuse: they're just lazy, or not willing to work on improving or playing. On top of that, the reason win-trading is all but required at this point is because people do it so extensively in the first place.

Now, I've been going back and forth on blaming the players who do it just 'cause they can and SE for not fixing such a broken system as quickly as possible, but in the end I really have to wonder at these people who are okay with it while it's available. Sure, Nalia's having to deal with horrible controls, that I understand, but what about everyone who doesn't? I'm sorry, I think the word "pathetic" fits here, not to raise anyone's guff, but just because that's what it is...

I actually beat the Tutorials on my controller with no problem. I play every week the Extreme Battle against NPC for the Bonus weekly winning 10/10 every time on my controller without fail. What's the big issue about the controller?

It's a combination of my own lack of skill, the awkward clunky controls, and the fact that the only other person I ever see playing Verminion is my boyfriend. And he's quite good at it, compared to me. He also has a few minions that I don't have, like the Lesser Panda, that help him even more. (I am very unlucky getting minions from dungeons and refuse to pay inflated market board prices for them.)

I don't mind win trading in vermillion, as it was basically dead on arrival and there is no NPC equivalent to play for points.

You literally win trade, or you don't play at all.

Out of the top 8 (there are only 8 on the board) from the last tourney, only 3 had more than a single win.

It's a completely different issue than TT, which you can gain points from the various NPCs around the game to be able to earn MGP if you can't find players to participate.

I still have yet to see anyone ever do chocobo racing as well.

CR and LoV need duty finder options that don't involving sitting in a location you can't even do gates in hoping someone shows up.
