During the Grand Melee our characters were given a set of light armour to wear, unfortunately the cruel lot took it back. This was Ishgardian chainmail & looked actually rather good. As my character is a Scholar & managed to best one of the most revered & trained fighters in all of Eorzea singlehandedly *snigger* dressed in said armour it surely completely destroys the unwritten rule that only tanks can wear armour.

I could cast, dodge, book-smack & everything in this wonderfully light chainmail. I didn't need to refuse to wear it so I could be in thin linen, I fought in metal. There's now proof ringing loud through Eorzea that Mages can be useful in armour so I can't see any reason why we can't wear it. Even if they are to stick to their guns they should at least give us that set back, it looked great!

It said the Ishgardian armor was glamoured onto our current equipment. So they should be lifting glamour restrictions honestly.

Exactly! This duty proved it was possible & they can no longer use "lore" as a reason. ;3
