If you guys want to do the Don't come back leve but haven't read this entire thread, the chest spawns under the big thing at the start, between the first two mobs, on the cliffs where the 3rd mob is, and in between the wolves. So it is literally a straight line there and back.

Oh and the chest is easier to spot as it is on snow. I found it really straining to look out for them on leves where there was grass/trees.
