Not sure what ilevel weapons you get from Sephirot Extreme, but the crafted stuff is i220. The Lore tome weapon is i230. Sephirot Extreme weapon can be obtained as soon as one can start farming it, but the Lore weapon takes 7 weeks of Midan Gears from a8 normal.

To me, that means there would be room for i220 crafted weapons with i230 Sephirot Ex.

Of course, Bismarck Ex weapons were irrelevant the moment they went live. So they would not need to ensure Sephirot Ex weapons relevancy if they don't want to.

If Sephirot dropped 230 no one would spend 7 weeks getting a 230 Tome weapon

Sephirot drops 220 weapons, which is perfect for a replacement to your 210 while waiting on a 230 lore weapon.

If crafted weapons were 220 sephirot would be useless

If they were 210 they would be useless

215 wouldn't be worth it, and 225 would, again, make sephirot pointless

There isn't any room for crafted weapons right now, we should just be happy we got an entire left and right side 220 stuff

Nope, because a HQ Pentamelded i210 weapon could be better than a dropped i220.

But not everyone could afford such a weapon. For those people, Seph EX would be the way to go.

The only content I've ever seen be obsolete on release was the Bismark weapons.

It would have been so easy to not make Law weapons (Like there wasn't for philosophy tomestones)...
