It's new content. I have yet to even venture into midas at all. Sure i'll read up on it beforehand, but i'm bound to get myself killed and possibly cause a wipe one time.
I know im not the only one that hasnt been grinding new content yet.

It's way easier to tank this with someone you're in voice chat with. We remind each other to swap by yelling "perpetual ray!!" That also reminds our healer to heal the one yelling.
Like someone said, it is new. But I guess we're only focusing on the people who have run it time and time again. I think a lot of it has to do how AoE markers are a lot of peoples way of determining when to dodge, while some use the mob actions or just know what to do prior. A lot of people I know die during the AoE / Stack / get behind boss phase.Every time I go in there I see a bunch of people who don't know what they're doing even when they've run it time and time again. It's frustrating when I have to explain mechanics that are rather simple to do and dodge, especially when there are mechanics THAT ARE FROM A6 NO LESS.
A lot of the mechanics from A6 do come up, and even I screw up time to time and when I mess up..even if I'm just a DPS..take everyone down with me! It just takes time for people to learn. Have some patience, or make a party finder for those who know what to do. I already see "1 mistake = kick"..more power to them.

With a proper cool down rotation, a paladin, and to a lesser extent Warrior, can solo tank dual rocket punch due to it's physical nature(Sheltron is amazing and the reason I'm eschewing any shield that isn't a tower. The only time I see a competent tank needing a soak is double dark since they suck at physical damage. Well, that or the main tank accidentally taking a vulnerability up debuff
Super Jump was the bane of our groups existence. He'd turn to face the five of us huddled together and line one of us up. And we'd just stand there and let him jump on us. It took three times before the tank we came in with pointed out that if we don't know who he's targeting just everyone scatter. It was a proud moment.
Ok can we come up with a new term? This one is getting as bad as "Git Gewd" in the Over Used Slang department.
Finally beat A8 (M4? What are we supposed to call this anyway?) today. Even after 2 successful runs I was unable to secure any loot (rngesus really hates me today). This one fight has come the closest to breaking me out of all the fights in this game.
Don't know what is with this week, but I just ran an A8 for my weekly in DF with everyone on the ball and no one died. It was as perfect as any run could be between 8 complete strangers.
I've cleared this fight with my FC and on DF. Decent luck so far but I've had some people that hadn't done it before. No worries, I explain and we wipe... everybody makes mistakes. But when I explain four or five times and the dps are all dead within 2 minutes.... it gets frustrating. But I get it... you experience, learn, grow, and move on to the next round.
Why do people not understand...we are only a week into the new content?
There aren't even visual guides out yet for anything, and we all know that only a very small percentage of players seems to be able to read written text
Failing is normal, just because you wiped yourself through your first clear doesn't mean you have any idea what to do. At this point I'm not worried yet about having to explain mechanics and the like.
Now of course it is different when you make a pf specifically seeking only people who know what to do.
I was on the verge of getting mad today when I made A7 parties (because in about 20 rolls, a 7 was the highest I ever got on that stupid spring >.>) specifically only with experienced people who know what to do and can easily farm it...and then you get one dps after another who attacks the lock in the heat prison and dies, one healer after another who just stands in the healer prison, blandly staring at the party dying to horrific poison, tanks who never move the boss and think dps can kill the heart on time when it spawns IN the boss...and so on.
I literally had one person who thought "oh, prison mark! I need to share this with the others!" and ran into the party to get 5(!) people into prison.
And you complain about A8 pug groups..![]()
