Why do people not understand A8?

After bashing my head up against this for 5 hours straight I've come to the following conclusion: few want to learn, many just want a carry, and somehow it's always the fault of the "low dps". Even when it's a wipe because the tanks died to the tankbuster.

It's very healing intensive without people taking unnecessary damage; when they do, you start a downward spiral. I think it's possibly the first non-savage duty where *everyone* must pay attention to mechanics & from the experience I've had, some DPS are really bitter that their attention is being taken away from Netflix. They are continuing to play as if they don't need to bring their A-game, which in turn makes healers look bad because they're trying to keep everyone alive. The result is usually running out of MP (energy drain misses suck) & getting the full blame for a wipe. It's just too painful.

By the way if any of you guys have a solid tank guide for this i would be grateful.

Im always DFing it due to static not existing and it is extremely difficult to figure out with co tanks who dont even talk or anything (most of the time they dont even speak english it seems). At least i would like to be sure that my part is OK

Perpetual Ray=Tank Swap if you follow that I doubt you'd have an issue. Otherwise 3 stacks.

It's really such an unnecessary tank swap though. Definitely be aware that there are some offtanks that'll get downright rude about insisting on swapping, but just pop a cooldown for it otherwise.

Pretty much the only spot in midas normal that'll wreck you if you don't swap are the 2nd/4th bosses in A6. Even A5 swap during concussion is more "necessary" than A8 spot.

I am guessing that you often bring your own healers?? I can solo tank all of midas normal if I have my FC healers with me, but in DF with random healers I see tanks dieing with 2 stacks all the time. Yesterday I watched tanks dieing to perpetual ray, none the less the hits that follow

No. And no even with healers I trust I still wouldn't want to solo tank 2nd/4th boss in A6. Those are legit necessary.

Also as WAR most of the healing needed after ray I do myself, so healer quality doesn't even matter.

It's new content. I have yet to even venture into midas at all. Sure i'll read up on it beforehand, but i'm bound to get myself killed and possibly cause a wipe one time.

I know im not the only one that hasnt been grinding new content yet.

It's way easier to tank this with someone you're in voice chat with. We remind each other to swap by yelling "perpetual ray!!" That also reminds our healer to heal the one yelling.

Every time I go in there I see a bunch of people who don't know what they're doing even when they've run it time and time again. It's frustrating when I have to explain mechanics that are rather simple to do and dodge, especially when there are mechanics THAT ARE FROM A6 NO LESS.

Like someone said, it is new. But I guess we're only focusing on the people who have run it time and time again. I think a lot of it has to do how AoE markers are a lot of peoples way of determining when to dodge, while some use the mob actions or just know what to do prior. A lot of people I know die during the AoE / Stack / get behind boss phase.

A lot of the mechanics from A6 do come up, and even I screw up time to time and when I mess up..even if I'm just a DPS..take everyone down with me! It just takes time for people to learn. Have some patience, or make a party finder for those who know what to do. I already see "1 mistake = kick"..more power to them.
