About the 'after' Cut scenes? [spoilers obviously]

After the 3.2 MSQ questline, you get cutscene that shows a figure of a man and a white mask.

I wasn't around for the 2.0-2.5 due to being on hiatus with class so I was wondering if we could discuss the trend in this thread.

There is already a thread for 3.2, but I fear some of those points might bleed into this topic, so I apologize in advance for redundancies.

Here's what we got so far:

3.1: Urianger in the GGL discussing scandalous things with Eli and WOD. Alisiae is hinted that she is eavesdropping. This hints that the Ali may be reintroduced as a major player again. Also plays with Urianger being a potential, yet willing 'traitor' for the sake of balance and peace.
3.2: It looks like the CS is taking place in the waking sands and theres a mask. Does this mask look familiar to anyone? I don't want to shoot the gun just yet, but if I am right about this 'after cutscene' trend, then is that figure related to our favorite white-robed ascian, urianger or alisiae?

Discuss, you guys in the loreforum are awesome and it would be nice hearing your opinions and what 3.3's teaser cs would be.

It looked more like Little Ala Mhigo to me, and with that Illberd seems the most likely person to be taking that mask. Also have a small theory that Wilred actually ISN'T dead and that he is taking the mask so he can continue doing...whatever he is doing, or starting to do, without being discovered. In this case benovolent but maybe not the best idea.

Though Illberd still seems much more likely and the Wilred one is just me theorizing things unlikely to happen.

I would genuinely love for Wilred to be alive again but we did actually find his gutted body so I think it's 100% certain the poor kid's dead.

Also a possibility! Still leaves Illberd as the most likely candidate as well.

Partly because it invovles Ala Mhigo, partly because I liked Wilred. Yes he is pretty much certainly dead, but if for some reason he ISN'T, this would be the time to end up showing such. Like I said above I'm almost positive its Illberd though.

Little Ala Mhigo in Southern Thanalan is the place, and it would make sense if that figure was indeed Ilberd, given the fact the tables have turned and that he is now the one on the run being hunted down for treason along with the rest of the traitorous Crystal Braves, no wonder he's taken to wearing a mask and hiding out there with the other Ala Mhigan refugees.

But again, this is just my own theory so take that what you will.

It does, take a look. It also could looks like little Ala Mhigo like Enkidoh said.
Im based this, by the cutsece of where Yda and Papalymo where, there was that black tent, a torch and a cacturs, on a desert plane. Then another cutscene with someone on a cave with more tents.

The silhouette looked like a Highlander to me, coupled with the resistance calling themselves "Masks" I figured it was Ilberd. No matter how loyal he is to the cause, he's infamous for dealing with the Ul'dahn coup. Lolorito himself pretty much placed most of the blame on Ilberd (and off of himself).

It would make sense for him to join the Masks, he's infiltrated the Braves before, he can do so again here. Even if the rest of the members don't know how he looks, Papalymo and Yda will know.

The scene probably took place in Thanalan, although I don't think Wilred's crew is part of it. If anything, Ala Mhigho resistance seems to be comprised of many different groups/ cells.

Still, I do wonder why Yda and Papalymo are still helping them. Perhaps gratitude for saving them? They don't seem like they're forced into it, seems like Yda is the one that wants to stay. They should've heard the news about Ishgard and what the WoL did, at least

On a side note, I actually liked Wilred, he was the only member of the Braves that I actually remember when I was out recruiting them. But yeah, he's dead-dead as far as I know. Hoary Boulder was livid when seeing Wilred's body, how he was "tied up and butchered like an animal" The only way he'll be back is via Ascien or Voidsent possession, or like be a ghost like Edda
