Is there every going to be a way of bringing this back? I'm hearing that they didn't bring them back sadly for this year's event

Can we at least get them added to the mogstation? It'd be such a shame to have them all on the MB for exorbitant prices for those who weren't around to do the event when it first released.

If added to the MogStation: Make them Market Prohibited so that they cannot be sold for RMT

If added to the Calamity Salvager: This would be the most ideal situation, that way those who didn't get the event could at least still have access to it but with greatly lowered prices!

I think if a post has enough likes then the devs can see it. We should campaign to make this thread liked and visible!

I understand the sentiment of it not being on the MB due to it being sellable. But they should make a slight variant Eastern Cherry Tree, with market prohibited on it so that it can be bought!

I'll admit that the sale of cherry trees added some extra jingle in my pocket, but they are also very popular items and the prices on the MB for them have gotten pretty crazy so I would not be against them being brought back through an event vendor or on the mogstation although I would be less happy about the latter.

We don't need them on the Mogstation. What we need is for SE to put ALL seasonal event items (i.e. cherry trees, wallpapers, twinkle boxes) on the Calamity Salvager for repurchase if you've already completed the event and bought one of the items. They need to STOP making limited housing items if they're not prepared to do this.

I say the calamity salvager because that's where the outfits and mouldy pieces of food that no one wants ends up. Once they're added to the salvager keep the ability to place said items on the MB for others who didn't complete the event, then prices would become reasonable and not the player gouging 5+ mil.

They usually do not add market board items to the Mogstation everything in there is unsellable and can't be traded. That being said when we 1st got the trees they where temporary unsellable like most event furniture. Had I known they where a 1 time thing I have gotten 4 instead of the two I been hoarding on retainer. But I was poor back then. yes those of us who did the event should be able get them back from the salvager. It would lower the price by ten folds like the Dream hats during the holidays usually sell mine for cheap

The eastern cherry tree wasn't a quest reward though so they can't add it to the calamity salvager. It was obtained by turning in a rather large number of tokens from the special treasure maps and they were rather time consuming to farm. The reason they're so pricey is precisely because they were one of few event rewards that were not easy to come by.

The new little ladies day event this year looks to have a token of some kind to exchange for items beyond those listed as the new event rewards so it may be that the cherry tree will be making a return. I'd rather just see it as a recurring item every year than have it made freely available on a merchant given that they were not easy to obtain in the first place.

Yes, by all means bring them to the Mogstation. That way we can have legal RMT, by paying SE real money to get those trees, then turn around and sell them for 500k+ each on the market board. :|

I agree that they should bring them back, but furniture should be kept away from the Mogstation since it's impossible to make them completely untradable. Even if you can't put them up on the Marketboard, you can usually trade them. And if you can't trade them, you can still use in-FC trading through the FC chest, or by placing the item down and having another FC member (or temporary key holder to your private estate) pick it up. If they started doing this, you can bet your behind that there would crop up people with personal houses offering to sell/trade Mogstation furniture via that system, giving people temporary access via the housemate system, only having the furniture you want to sell out and removing their access once the trade's gone through.

Adding them to the Calamity Salvager is a good idea, though. Alternatively to bring them back to an event vendor for gil each year. (It wouldn't take any more effort or space than to put them on the calamity salvager, after all, and all they'd have to do each year is to add the previous year's furniture to the list, then activate the vendor.) Keep it separate from the vendor with the current year's rewards if you will, or have it as a separate option when you talk to the regular event vendor.
