    MCH or BRD

I'm looking at switching out of the melee dps role and going ranged. I'm used to and like the ninja playstyle. I'm wondering what people recommend. I know they are more utility based, but does one do more damage? What one is more rewarding to play? I don't want to learn somthing well and feel like I'm doing nothing. Is one more fun then the other?

I personally found mch a lot of fun. I've started the game back in v1 as archer/bard, and I mained it until the artifact gear came out first (aww dose times), when I switched to whm. I picked up brd from time to time again but it got a bit boring for me. Time passed, v2, HW, and I tried mch. All the way to 60 I had awesome fun with it. May it be because it was a new class, or the gun and all the animations/sound effects, but it is still very fun to play. They both are very very similar so that is really up to you to try and see. Try out both, play around a little and see what you like. Don't worry too much about who is the better dps since it really depends on the player and how he performs rather than the job itself. And if by any chance one is above the other, SE will fix it soon enough. So, try them and have fun!

Thanks for the advice. How is a level 60 MCH for rotation? The ammo thing is a bit odd for me, but I'm only like level 35.

Mch is still the most entertaining class for me, the opener can be complicated and take some work to put out the high wildfire numbers u see endgame, but it's a lot of fun to do.
Bard and mch both have their pros and cons, bard is more viable for endgame content mostly because the mch skill wildfire can be very unforgiving when progressing. But bard also has an advantage with their foe requim, being able to keep a consistent magic vul on the mobs.
The other advantage bard has is their ability to reset dots they applied making aoe dps higher and less of a tp drain.
Mch makes up for this with it's single target burst especially in the opener. Mch is gonna bring a lot more dps here even rip aggro quite often if the tank isn't on the ball.
Another advantage and prolly y mch is more fun than bard for me is the ability to put a physical vul debuff on the enemy. It's great to buff ur party members but its way more fun when u benefit from it as well

I think I've decided on MCH. The guide i found on the forums here seems fairly out of date. Does anybody know of a good one or some tips for level/endgame. The leveling so far isn't too bad, but not quite as straight forward because of the level 30 start.
