I've done it 3 times now. Got totorak and haukke manor with newbies, and last night I got sastascha normal with 3 people all over level 50. None were new. It was weird.

Done three so far, and got Halatali, Darkhold, and weirdly, Fractal. No new players yet.
I'd assume that it tries to pull people from the mentor queue into groups with new players if possible, but it seems like a lot of what it's doing is pulling people in on anything that needs bodies. I personally find the idea of "total wildcard roulette" to be kind of fun.
Yep, I love this roulette, because it actually feels like a roulette. I do it every time I'm on.

The two that I have done both gave the new player bonus. I was under the assumption that it basically grouped you with at least one other person who has never run that particular content. That way you can teach them how it works.

Any dungeon I don't like, I just take the 30 Netflix break and move on. Oh wait, we have Vath bst quests now...
I'm better than most people. Yes. That is true.
Very first run I did. .. neverreap. No bonus...
Yeah I don't get the Mentor Roulette. Very high requirements (ok, for me anyway) so I can't participate. But Mentor. Tied to the Novice Channel. Tied to helping the green younglings, err, sproutlings. What sprout is running them high end places? They should add a Mentor bonus to Level 50 dungeons, Leveling, Trials, Guildhests. Run those Roulettes, you get your daily, adventure in need if, and if you are a Mentor, you get a Mentor bonus. Instead of a completely separate Mentor roulette. But that is just me thinking Mentor is to help the sproutlings.
Would I do it even if I met all current requirements? Nope, as I am just someone that doesn't run Roulettes period.
MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
So far it's been hit and miss for me. The good hits are when I get something like Haukke with three sprouts and I get to have a nice run talking with them, giving advice and help while getting them through the dungeon nice and fast. The misses are when I get something like Ifrit EX with 7/8 of the group being level 51 with a mix of i50 and i90 stuff from their job quests. And each of them only have the one job leveled up. And none of them seem to know that standing in the big glowing patch of arena that explodes is bad, no matter how many times I say it. That's not very fun on either end.

I'm surprised about people's stories of no newbie bonuses. I've been running into them left and right even when I'm not queuing for mentor roulette. For my mentors thus far I got Crystallis, Relic Reborn Chimera, Quarn Hard, and Labrynth of the Ancients. I don't run mentor everyday, just depends on my free time available. And yea some I've never tanked myself which is why I like to que up on my monk, which is my main. I can give the other roles a run down on what to do though, I tend to watch what everyone does for their runs anyway.
I've hit a random guildhests 3 separate times and grabbed 30 eso\10 lore (and 5k gil) for like 2 mins' worth. I'm a fan.
