Also, I hope that Alexander would be the Light/Astral elemental Primal.

I think Summoners should work something like this:
Summoners has elemental summons like FFXI (Fire spirit, Water Spirt, etc)
And then they would have a summon system similar to that of FFXII: Revenant Wings in which there were multiple ranks for summons. And summons for all 8 elements (Astral summons could be healing oriented ones too).
Also, im not liking the whole primal summoning idea either. :/
