Sonic the Hedgehog references in Midas (spoilers)

1. Quickthinks' gobmachine references Eggman's Eggmobile
2. Mide giving the Illuminati the fake stone = Tail's giving Eggman the fake Chaos Emerald in SA2.
3. Grinding on rails in a similar style to many of the 3D Sonic games.
4. Spikes in A7; spikes are a classic Sonic game hazard.
5. DPS quarantine has you fighting against a drowning timer, just like the classic Sonic games.

I give you #1, but I think the rest are pure coincidences and have been used as tropes before (fake macguffins, rail grinding [FFX anyone?], spikes as a common video game hazard, etc)

Good imagination... just I don't think any of those things spell out Sonic specifically.

They are all game tropes though.
