It is fine as it is, as long as discussions do not end in endless spam of entirely unrelevant stuff to the game..

Um, you may want to check the date of the last post before necroing an old thread.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
This Thread is from 2016. How are you doing OP?

You did abuse the kick system as they were neither spamming, harassing, nor causing harm to individuals.Copy Paste from my thread in Reddit http://tinyurl.com/jee9zlm
As usual the Novice Network was filled with useless banter on how to meld a Bard (in my case) and strategies about Midas. So i kicked offenders with the reasoning "Useless Spamming". Some mentors took offence cause i kicked their friends (speculation) and reported me to a GM for abusing the kick system and we had the following discussion

At least we now know the stance of SE on the matter
TL;DR: SE endorses mentors to use the system as a global chatroom without caring about sprout needs
The purpose of the thread is to bring visibility to the issue and I would like to focus on the gist of the conversation that is the novice network and what SE supports not how salty i am or how i feel about the ban
Wow, bringing this thread back up again is actually useful. I didn't know that was SE's stance and I wonder if that's still true now. It's too bad if it is still like that, though.
I don't even invite people to the Novice Network and I tell everyone I know never to join it because it's useless. A person will get better info from asking their FC or just doing a Google search.
The NN is just trash talk 24/7. Even if you make a statement that be beyond true someone will come back saying it's not.
I laughed so hard when I found out Blizzard was adding a similar system to WoW. Man, I can't wait to read stories about how horrible that system will be with trolls.
I don't know how horrible it will be, but I also don't know how useful it will be since it's limited to characters below level 20. And considering new players only have access to Exile's Reach (which is new to WoW) and BfA as their first leveling experience, the requirement to be a guide seems to be too much. But I guess we'll see.
