Glamouring one handed caster weapons

Am I the only one that feels they would have been better off just making the one handed weapons like the Allagan sceptre glamourable rather than making those awful blown up two handed versions? The npc even lets you trade the two handed ones back for the original which is pretty pointless as they can't be used. Maybe consider letting us glamour them in their intended look please.

I've been saying this since the Lightning returns events were a thing; I know two ladies in my FC who would kill to be able to glam the Moogle clock wand on their Blks.

I've been saying that ever since they started with glamours. You can easily glamour a chestpiece onto a combined chestpiece+helmet (robe onto cowl, or cuirass onto tincan, for example), so why not a one-slot weapon on top of a two-slot weapon? The same limitations would apply, so just as you can't equip a helmet (since you're wearing a cowl) and will appear bareheaded, you wouldn't be able to equip a shield. But the combat stance and casting animations are exactly the same with 1H and 2H weapons, so... Just why? I mean, it's not as though it'd cause chaos all around and allow DRKs to glamour on PLD swords, would it? You'd still be required to be the appropriate class/job for the glamour to be visible.

They've been telling us that we would be able to glamour one handed onto two handed since 2.0 era. It's one of those things they say we'll get but never do.
While most of the one handed weapons are a lil lack luster, I think it would've made things easier on their development team to just make the one-handed glamourable than to design all new weapons.

I don't believe so. The only ones I saw that were exchangeable were the primal drops. Not the crafted ones either. A rep has stated in another thread that they hadn't finished the conversion and more will come later.

While we just introduced two-handed versions of some of the previously one-handed-only conjurer and thaumaturge arms, we haven't yet finished converting them all. We're planning on adding two-handed version for weapons such as the Malevolent Moggle Mogwand in the future.

This is the first thing that I said when they announced they were making two-handed variants... it's just a completely unnecessary thing to do, just make the old ones not be classed as a one-handed and be done with it, the animations are literally NO different, and that they are wasting resources and time doing something utterly pointless just to make worse looking weapons when what people actually wanted was just to glamour the one-handed.

But, really, it's just so routine for this to be the case when simple and logical things are concerned it seems. Still, I'm at least thankful that these weapons aren't completely useless and some of the two-handed mutations don't look miserable.
