Tyrant I like your aspect you're aware that the grand companies will be implementing somebody you can hire what you are merely suggesting is to use the heroes of the older Final Fantasy games as a marketing perspective to attract other players to the game the service being completely optional in the MOG station to increase profit and ensure game stability because it takes money to run an online game

XIV has a perfectly fine stability without the need of cash shop pay to win items. His points for "needing" such "heroes" is centered around not wanting to deal with bad players in Duty Finder. Not marketing.

This game doesn't need a heavy cash shop and MAJORITY of the players on the forums are against it anyways. Subscriptions do just fine on top of the cheap (but in no way helps the player to win) items in the Mogstation.

There is no need to white knight when people are simply speaking their opinions on his idea. He posted now players are giving feedback.

Say what you will about the idea this is opinions but two points that he truly made 1 be good for sales to as a parent it would bring an end to something that is actually becoming an alarming rate online video game child abuse and cussing children out is one of them

That's what bothering to take your time to report people comes in. EVERY game online has some kind of 'elitist prick', and they don't give a damn what age someone is or their experience in the game. Ignore them, report them, move on. Don't let the few ruin it for the rest. (Don't expect GMs to know everything that happens in the game if you're too lazy to report someone)

And there is literally no reason for SE to add heroes from other FF installments, even as 'NPCs' for dungeons. Sure, we had Lightning visit the game, but that was literally a cross promotion, same with DQX and FFXI (Due to big events in said games). They have had reasons to show a few characters from other titles of theirs', not just 'lets bomb the game with NPC heroes!' And we've had previous games' bosses show up in special dungeons/trials/ect. It's nice to have some reappearing faces in the game (I.E. old memorable bosses), but what you're suggesting would honestly make me hate the game (I would pull my hair out if Squall shows his arse in XIV).

They get a lot of money from what they have in the mogshop right now, Odin's mount, the marriage packages, tons of costumes and special dyes, and every holiday just about they've put the previous year's glamours in the shop as well.

Like it's been said in this thread already. This is a MMORPG....not a game you play by yourself.

This has nothing to do with cyber bullying. This has to do with the OP wanting NPCs to solo play an MMO. His literal defense was "Oh well this "kid" got cussed out by elitists in a raid". That is NOT child abuse, that's people being arses because the the raid wasn't going well and the said "tank kid" wasn't doing things correctly. It happens, all the time in any MMO. It's not abuse, report the people and be done with it.

Take your PC culture else where. This is the internet, there are laws, sure, but you know what helps; turning off a computer and doing something else for a change. Bullying isn't just online, it's in real life. You can't escape it, but you can do the RIGHT THING and report it.

Someone getting harassed in game, Report it.
Someone being a general arse and griefing, Report it.
If you want to play solo without dealing with people MMOs are not for you.

This whole topic on online bullying isn't the point of this post and is only serving to derail the main topic. OP wants a hero system because he doesn't want to deal with people in DF and because he wants to fight alongside AI Cloud and Sephiroth. Bullying and harassment are bad, but that isn't what this topic is about.

Back to the topic on hand, I disagree with your reasoning Tyrant. Pretty much all of the reasons you gave seem more than a little lazy to me. You don't want to sit in DF waiting for a tank? Then Tank, start party finder, ask a friend for help, or just go do something else while waiting on queue. This whole thing just sounds too close to pay to clear to me, and we don't need any of that in a subscription based MMO.

If there will be NPCs implemented to replace other players this shows me the game is on the end of his life circle and it's time to leave.

I see only one reason to implement this NPCs: There are not enough players online to fill the duties and i'm not talking about the low tide of the day circle.

I think I read that NPC characters from Grand Companies will be included in the future to do Duty Finder or something like that... Maybe that's a way to have what you want. The game already has Lightning, Snow, Iroha, Cloud, Firion, the Warrior of Light, Zidane, and Setzer's clothes (besides another FF14 characters like Odin or the Scions). You could customize those NPCs to resemble those characters (and the game also has Lightning, Odin, and the Scions' weapons, and the Emperor's New Fists for Snow). Also, with the help of dyes, you can dye gear to create NPCs resembling Vivi or the Onion Knight for example. Obviously, this would be possible if those NPC are customizable.

The only thing you need is... gear. And FF14 is always getting new gear from other FFs, that's one of the reasons why I consider FF14 a tribute to the entire series.

I know everybody is familiar with Final Fantasy 13-2 about the arbiter of time on Final Fantasy 13 2 you compete to win your favorite hero to fight beside you implement something like that on the MOG station to where we could pay to have our favorite Final Fantasy hero of any of the Final Fantasy series like Cloud, Lightning, Rydia to fill specific roles in a party because everybody can agree with me when they have a bad tank or a bad DPS they wish they could hire a computer control person to help them it would be interesting to see the heroes of the other Final Fantasy games making an appearance but it would also bring more profit to Square Enix itself because I for one would pay a lot of money to have my favorite heroes with me

How about we promote good play instead of just shrugging someone that's bad off? Also, stop demanding things for the Mog Station, for fucks sake.
