Is this normal?

A few times in the last 2 days I've had people missing body parts or armor missing on my screen.
Like This.
I've also had floating swords and and characters who seem to have had their hair stolen.
Is this part of what this maint is supposed to fix? Or is this something else entirely? (Pretty sure its not my computer, but can't say for sure. Maybe it is...)

Anyway, I was just wondering c: It's more amusing than annoying to be honest.

Once my Void Ark fending body skirt glitched and left me with no midriff; you could literally see through my stomach only, and instead of a skirt I had on black pants somehow.

not sure if people with missing body parts are normal but you may need to reinstall.

Once I logged into FFXI to see my character was missing her head... moments later the entire game crashed (I eventually discovered my video card was dying). Generally if you have graphic artifacts or tearing (or parts of graphics disappearing like that), it usually means that either the game needs a reinstall as Evangela mentioned, or a part of your computer is faulty (usually the video card). Do other games have similar problems or is it just FFXIV?

It's just FFXIV, everything else is fine. Computer just got new parts 2 months or so ago and hasn't had any problems or anything. Most of the time this gets fixed after a loading screen so I'm not really worried, was just wondering ^^

internet connection... I am suspecting.

I don't get any R0 last two months, but right after patch, R0 and constantly dc'd during peak hours for server.

My screen running fine, but occasionally, people are loading slowly, while my responded on quest takes average 5 sec to pop the windows/ dialog box.

The the moment I have lots of people flying around on invisible mounts. I'm guessing it's a patch thing as it wasn't there before.

Retainers are really stepping up their game, they began small with roof/fences thievery now they go after body parts! Sleep with your door locked tonight people...you could be next.

I used to have a similar problem, or random artifacting with my old graphics card where mounts would not render. In your case though it almost reminds me of missing data files. However, SE did say something about tonight's maintenance fixing an issue like that...
