I would like to formally agree to add my voice to this thought.
1.) Gauss barrel aesthetic should have a toggle option so I can choose not to see a stupid spinning top floating magically infront of my COMPLETELY AWESOME GUN.
2.) I would like to see a bigger explosion or better animation AND sound effect to wildfire. The enemy needs to explode in a fireball. I just dropped 40k on the enemy. I want to SEE them hurt. Ricochet animation and sound is amazing. Why did you stop there? The skill, the attention to detail from sound to animation to colors to effects...all of that effort stopped after ricochet, I feel like.
Sincerely,
-me
Oh this is good. This is REALLY good!
SE, PLEASE take this into consideration! (Also consider it reason to create different aetherotransformer designs too)
I was gonna make a separate thread for it, but on the subject of visual improvements for MCH, can we please have a more sensible running animation? Aside from the fact that our weapon arm does not move at all while in motion, it's a very impractical way to carry our guns. On top of that, the form factor (long barreled pistols/carbines/musketoons) would imply our weapons would have a bit of weight to them. Thus running with the weapon at the ready (i.e. much like the Hyur/Miqo'te female weapon pose) would be far more practical and visually appealing.
I'd be so happy if they held the weapon with both hands as a default.I was gonna make a separate thread for it, but on the subject of visual improvements for MCH, can we please have a more sensible running animation? Could we also fix the casting animation? The gun wiggle makes no sense. Have them use the Reload animation or simply aim the gun straight.
I personally like the Gauss Barrel attachment; I think it looks good on my magitek repeater and wootz revolver. However, a toggle option is totally reasonable and probably should have been available from the beginning of 3.0.
Actually, having different looking GBs for different types of guns would be pretty cool. Such as the Ferdinand having a "double barreled" type of GB to fit it's aesthetic~
As a guy whose happy Machinist life ended at level 52 when the class trainer passed upon me the Unfun Barrel, I too want a toggle option for the ugly lump of metal.
I also like the idea of a more sensible casting animation and more *BOOM!* animation for Wildfire.
The GB wouldn't even be so bad if they at least had one that matched each gun. Its really dumb looking if you get something like the Leviathan weapon that is very small and thin and then the big, heavy looking GB that has no unique color scheme to it makes it look atrocious. I can't believe someone at SE thought this was a good idea. I get looking resourceful was your aim, but I doubt people wanted the aesthetics of their gun attachments to go to this extreme.
I like the Gauss Barrel. It's neat. I imagine they had ideas for actual barrel attachments, but the floating disc gives the impression while still letting them vary the length and size of the gun's barrel with their models.
I do not like the gun waving animations, though. I swear I feel more like wand-waving Harry Potter as a MCH than I do as a BLM. Is there really any need to fencing salute every time I want to shoot a split shot? >_>;
