But in a lot of actual fights it can become boring really fast.

It s my favorite job, mained it since 2013 through the Coils and so on and i still main it along with the DRK.

But it is not overpowered at all. It s just OK.

This might look very elitist comment, but BLM is really complicated job. It's extremely rare that you encounter with good BLMs. Because most of them don't use triple flare, time manawall perfectly or even use Aether manipulation, which is the best ability when it comes to avoiding deadly mechanics. I seen way too many players rely on fire 4 or just spam fire 2.. But what BLMs can do in FFXIV is truly impressive. But such power comes with the price.. Your movements are simply limited. If you keep avoiding damage, you eventually screw up your rotation and your DPS drop dramatically. And when we talk about rotation.. There is a pattern. Most FFXIV boss/raid mechanics will ruin that.

It's situational. Triple flare worth your time on big group, and if you can time it, you can easily regain MP without waiting long 2 seconds. That's what I do and I can see myself doing more damage. But against boss/raid fights, I never use MP potion. 84 INT boost is huge.
