The complex rumors of SMN are kinda putting me off playing it.

I would honestly stay away from BLM unless you are very.... patient. The Enochain mechanic is clunky as all hell, especially since Fire 4 does not renew astral fire. It is also the longest cast, and you feel it. Any movement needed and it is a HUGE DPS loss.

I would recommend DRG, which while complex, will not make you cringe when the boss is untargetable, or you have to move. You will still see big numbers, and top the charts.

I would also recommend BRD, which while you wont top charts, does decent DPS (same as nin/mch), and great support.

Ninja is very fluid like with the rotation, but the mudra system can be frustrating at times.
