People are abusing the Novice channel.

Of course people are abusing it, everytime you assume an altruistic motive you are bound to encounter humanity doing what it does best exploiting and abusing thing created to help others. Report the offenders and perhaps SE will eventually start handing out temp bans to deter people from doing this.

The problem is whether is classed as an "offence" or not. People are afraid to kick people for what they call general chat because they're not sure whether it's actually considered spam, although they're clearly misusing the channel. It also seems the amount of people who misuse the channel heavily out number the people who want to use it for its intended use.
