Heavensward OST on iTunes

So the Heavensward OST is supposed to release today, but it's not on iTunes yet. I know the website shows that there is a delay in the shipping of the physical units, but would that affect the iTunes release as well? Or do they not usually release the iTunes version on the same date?

Depends on where you live as well. If you're in Australia, don't expect to ever see the Heavensward OST (or FFXIV or Final Fantasy music in general) to appear.

It shouldn't affect the digital version since the physical version is already shipping - just not from the US store. I've seen people on my server with the minion already. However, I'm not sure they've confirmed the release date for the digital version yet. It's not mentioned in the Japanese launch information.

I'm wondering about this myself. I know Before the Fall was released on iTunes (in Canada, presumably the same for the US) the same day as the physical release.

When I tried searching for it today, what I found was that they seemingly typo'd it as "Heavensword", and it completely lacks a full album download. It simply has all the tracks up for individual download at CA$1.29 a piece, which totals around $75 - significantly more than the physical version which has extra tracks and other goodies.

Something definitely went wrong here.

I'm wondering if whichever SE employee uploaded it to iTunes typo'd the album data during the submission process, then caught it and they're in the process of taking it down and reuploading.

What I want to know is what about people who bought the three EP volumes - They've already got almost a third of the tracks (16 of 58) from the full album. Will those count towards Complete My Album pricing? Or will they have to buy the remaining 42 tracks individually (totaling $58.98) - Note that Before the Fall goes for $27.99 for the full 61 track album.

Yeah this seems really weird it's even listed as a partial album. I wanna buy this through iTunes but I'm certainly not gonna buy them all one by one so hopefully this is corrected.

I sincerely hope they fix that. There's no reason a physical copy should cost significantly less than the digital copy. I'd even be OK with it costing the same as the physical copy, but not so much more.

Although SE has always had Before Meteor and A Realm Reborn on iTunes without the full album purchase options. So it wouldn't surprise me if they did it with Heavensward too, but it would certainly stop me from purchasing it.

I've never really used those forums before. Does SE typically browse and/or reply to General Discussion threads?

I emailed the SE store about the individual-tracks-only payment setup and was told I'd have to take it up with the iTunes Store. That makes it sound as though this is an Apple issue, but I don't see how.

I'd love to get some honest dialogue going with SE on the subject. Think a post to their Twitter or fb might generate some attention?

It's frustrating been waiting for 2 days to be able to buy the new soundtrack and we still don't have any news about the issue.

Anyone with a Japanese iTunes account can confirm is the same issue is happening?
