I don't get why there is still gil spam. Simple solutions
1. remove black list limit ... this is absurd.
2. when players are deleted automatically clear them from your black list.
3. set up a system that if someone::
-sends a pm or friend request and are black listed it starts a count
-once you receive 10 black lists as a response to you sending pms/fr (so its not abused by just blacklisting random people with 10 accounts) your account cant send tells/fr ... possibly also cant use SAY and shout etc ... until your investigation is completed.
4. if you send a shout or something like that 20 black list count for the same thing.
5. If you are muted you can only chat in Party chat, FC chat, or to your friends list. This would mean that if a legit player somehow got muted they could still play the game with no issues.
This will QUICKLY get people to start doing the devs work for them ... people will use black list again and after 10 or 20 black list adds gil spammers will be muted until someone can review and see if it was for gil spam.
Or simply add a new function when you right click someones name it would say report for gil spam, you click are you sure (yes). It automatically blacklists them and once they get 10 15 or 20 reports in response to a tell, or say, or whatever. They are muted ... they can send a request to be unmuted then you dont even have to review the mute logs unless requested and most gil spammers wont waste their time obviously.
Spread the word, lets get this taken care of.
Summary ... currently SE has to have a crew to sort through thousands of gil spam reports on every server. This function would allow players to do that work for them 'x' amounts of black lists or reports in 'x' time as a result of PM or Shout spam would mute you. You could the request and un mute (so we are now talking about a few emails for SE to check vs thousands) gil spammers wont request this only legit players who somehow got caught caught will. And this would mostly be avoided, but there are always issues ofc.
