So~ when we reach Diamond Tier in pvp and get this nifty pretty badge and have a high enough rating..


Can we have a pretty thing with a matching color scheme?

Oh god, please no. Color scheme fine, but Keyblades need to stay in KH where they belong. The gunblade is already bad enough as it is, and that's bound to make an appearance eventually.

Also considering Kingdom Hearts is part Final Fantasy it technically belongs >.> besides.. we already did our dive into the soul opening cutscene to choose our sword shield or staff, keyblade is the next logical step since for all intents and purposes the carriage dream is the opening to Kingdom Hearts

People can like them if they want, and I knew they'd show up eventually, though I mercifully haven't encountered one myself "yet". I have problems with gunblades on several levels, not the least of which is an engineering standpoint, but since this is "Fantasy" we'll just put that as an aside to my vehement hate for the weapon. Keyblades ? Hooboy I could rant against Keyblades (maces) for ages.

Gunblades seem to be pretty standard for the Garlean upper class, i don't know about regular soldiers but officers have them, Cid has one but its amusingly low tech looking in comparison XD

If they kept everything about the blade except the little notch at the top (the key bit) I think everyone would be happy. In all honesty I'd love more KH references in the game, though I'd like it to be more subtle than this, like the heartless cane in the gold saucer

I love the heartless cane, it's glorious even in a non-KH way, i have it for glamoring my female au ras blm staff since its perfect for the sort of sadist mage she is, also its made of solid gold so there is that~

Mechanically Speaking, A Garlean Style gunblade really isn't that different from a rifle with a Bayonet on it. The "Bayonet" just happens to go further and attaches across the entire gun barrel for stability. And as for "Weight" since they are arestocrat weapons only it's safe to say it's made of any of the many "Lighter and Stronger than Titanium" metals that Final Fantasy is known for. Then add the fact that they are trained how to handle them and I'm no longer seeing a valid argument.

Now, Squall's Revolver, Seifer's Hyperion, And The Guardian Corp's Blazefire Sabers (FF13) are all an entirely different argument.

(Also, if Keyblades were items I'd never glamour anything else)
