That's just another flaw of the new i180 accessories. While all the other i180 pieces are at least viable upgrades over lightly melded i150 gear, the i180 accessories only have around 2-3 CP over the unmelded HQ hallowed ones.See, I didn't even know they were adding 180 accessories to the game. But as I said earlier, you'd have to be /really/ stupid to buy those. So I feel it's not that big of a deal, just get the 170s made. If you're aspiring to be a 3 star crafter, a simple 2 star carpenter craft shouldn't be out of your reach...
(Also people have been using food to cheese requirements since 2.0 so I don't see that as a big deal either.)
There's a suspicion that the data-mined stats for those are placeholders and would get real stats after tonight's hotfix.
they better be, those 180 accessories stats are pure garbage

Definitely messed up with the master IV tomes. Should have had one additional tome that included all the non-specialist crafts and should have indicated in the description or even the name of the current tomes that they were for specialists.
Pointed out already, but there is a new non-specialist CUL craft that gives quite a bit of craft and control which can get you over the minimum required. It won't give CP, but you can't always have everything.
Any food without a huge CP boost is really quite useless for end game crafting
If one have to use the Craftsmanship + control food to pass the 3star stats, their chance to HQ will be severely hindered
You can get to the 3 star stats with the white shared i150 gear + the shared fully melded i170 accesories, and only the MH, OH and Chest class specific. With extremely cheap meld on these to wipe them clean when grade V become more accesible. And that's without sacrificing CP and using Seafood Stew. And with the added bonus of the Specialist Soul.

i180 Red scripts gear is still as irelevant as it always was. A cheap alternative to those who don't want to meld. Except that the accesories are absolutely garbage and you need to meld them anyway.
For real. I don't know what they're thinking really.
Lets hope.
I relinquished my CUL's Specialist and went ARM (ARM, GSM, LTW) since hubby has CRP, ALC, WVR. Cul is basically useless...lol A 38 parry food....
Öhm....This is a slap in the face of EVERYONE (luckily not me) who went through the massive time/gil-sink of getting ilvl 180 gear, as it is impossible to reach the stats needed, even with food and melded ilvl 170 accessories (expensive!) and all. So you made the ilvl 180 gear totally pointless and obsolete for the future of this game and totally screwed a good chunk of the crafters over.
According to Ariyala I can reach 850/820 with HQ-beet soup.

You will be completely gimped on the HP side though. Doubt you'd stand a chance to HQ anything.
Can we just get to the acceptance stage of grief about specialists at some point soon? There's plenty of people, myself included, that actively like the specialist system there's no way it's going away.
