Novice Network suggestion

I've noticed in my time in the NN today that several mentors were AFK for extended periods of time. This is doing nothing to help the sprouts. There are other mentors actually playing the game who can't get into the channel cause someone who is AFK is taking the spot.

Please implement some sort of function for the Novice Network that removes mentors/sprouts that have been AFK for X amount of time.

Maybe sprouts shouldn't ne kicked while AFK.

Couldn't agree more. I'd like them to also expand it to include any status that isn't "Mentor". Lots of mentors can't even get in the channel because of AFK people, or people with a busy status or people with an online status (if they're not prepared to receive possible mentor help requests then shouldn't be in the novice network channel as a mentor?).

There are considerably more mentors than there are available spaces in the channel so it should be kept just for the people who are actually with a status of "Mentor".

That sounds like a very reasonable request. It's not like they're getting kicked off the game for AFKing too long (though I suspect 4.0 will temporarily bring that back) just booted from the network so that someone willing to help newbs can take that spot. Take my Like.

This is a great suggestion. Also, has anyone found out a way for people to leave the network other than being kicked or hiding it with the chat filter?

Balmung's Network is constantly full of Mentor's but probably less than 50 newbies cause of the character creation restriction. Sorta wish I could get in to see who needs help. It's why I leveled WHM before 3.2.

I completely agree. I played the game from patch morning to the point where we got kicked and until I signed back in I didn't know just how full the NN(Notice Network) was. Like I suspected maybe theres multiple networks since it only holds 100 mentors, but nope I, and a bunch of others were screwed.


This network should be regulated. It seems unfair that those who simply do not sign off and prefer to go afk get the benefit here.
