I think it has more to do with SCH having the lowest burst damage of the three but the best DoT, which can't really be expressed in 3 minutes.

On my blm, I tried A4S imidiately and failed at 1% twice and then tried A3S and barely beat that one. I am glad to see im not the only one either failing or winning with no time left. XD gonna have to use pots in my rotation finally. (Been putting that off lel)

Honestly, I'm kind of content with what I got xD
I barely made it past ilvl 200 on my BLM and AST, still in the mid-90ies with my NIN.
On BLM, I had no trouble winning Thordan EX dummy with time to spare (which sadly does not translate back into the actual fight AT ALL because of extended amounts of forced Enochian downtimes..).
Missed 3% on A3S and 7% on A4S.
Considering I haven't read a guide since ARR, no proper opener and of course used neither food nor potions, the result is actually a lot better than expected^^
On NIN, I had like 20% left for Thordan EX though, so I might finally look that class up a bit xD
Honestly, I was aware of that before..xD The main NINs in my FC have all been scolding me for a while already to finally have some alone time with a training dummy and a "how to nin"-manual
But since I usually only use it for solo content and to stand around looking good, I never felt like there was a need to raise my dps there °-°
...next time I'll at least use the 20% dmg+ poison though, ok? :x

on my i210 NIN I can kill the A5S dummy with 5-7 secs to spare, and can get the A6S dummy to about 2-3% consistently. On the A8S dummy I run out of time at between 10 and 12%. They seem pretty well tuned to me![]()

It's okay to fail, you look at rotation / gear and work from there. I was doing things yesterday and unlocked the new Ex trial. Did the dummy, failed..with plenty of % left on the dummy.
Then I realized I haven't been back on PC in a while, I switch PS4 to PC and due to GF agro can't do PC so much, a lot of gear was old. I was about 7 iLV under, so I did it again. I got to about 5%, I'm going to work on some gear and look at my rotation. It's a nice adjustment, it also gives me confidence. I was able to easily clear the Midas NM one, didn't try savage. So I decided if I have the DPS then I just need to die until I learn the mechanics. I'm on the last quest now and am loving it!

Any idea on whether there are accuracy caps on the training dummy's. That would be a pretty sweet addition if not.
being a console player, I'm very glad for this. This was the first time EVER I was able to get even a rough estimation of my dps - partly due to the table Kuwagami kindly provided. I also got the opportunity to try different rotations, surprised to find one did the job almost 20-30 secs faster (if you're really interested, it was the standard BLM rotation with/without thunders). The only thing I'm not crazy about is the unnecessary zoning in/out after just a single pass, makes it tiresome.

Gotta give credit where it's due. The one you have to thank is xephero who took the time to test all dummies with all the dps jobs.
Llillymoo also provided all dps values for all jobs for AS4-8 and sephirot Ex
Raema Deon from Shiva also created a site that works on mobile to calculate a rough estimate of your dps. console players now have their solo ACT on dummies \o/
