Hey man, all I said was that I like playing games, which OSX is clearly really good at since you have to run Windows to play the game. You're the one who started with the "negativity" by crying about PC elitists. I never once said you weren't allowed to own/like a Mac, I just don't because of the reason that I like gaming. What are you? Some psychic? How do you know that I created this thread simply to feel special? As I said, my intention was to know how many others players use a MAC. That was about it. I don't feel special nor do I think I am better than any of you guys just because I use a mac.
I wanted to know if anybody else uses a mac and then you appear from nowhere and claim that I started this thread just to feel special.
Please, if you don't have anything positive to say, except for creating negative assumptions, then go troll on someone else's topic.
Let's just say I never tainted this wonderful thread with my "trolling" (protip: not everybody who disagrees with you on the internet is trolling), what would you have accomplished with the information? Maybe...20 people play the game on a Mac. So what? What does that information do for you? Prior to this thread, I had no idea you played on a Mac, nor did you know I played on a PC. I just saw people posting on the forums as Final Fantasy XIV players (well, mostly, lol). The information on what you access the game content is useless. Like I've said before, who cares? I don't care if you play on Mac, you shouldn't care that I play on PC. Computers are computers, yours just runs stuff differently than mine.
Sort of. I...see...you getting mad at this reply, because I don't agree with you. What are you? Some psychic?
I also see the thread being locked.
I'm like Miss Cleo, only less sassy Jamaican woman, and more Roegadyn Gladiator! CALL ME NAAOOOOO FOR A FREE REEEEEEDIN'!
The dude just wanted to know if anyone else played the game on a Mac...? What am i missing? Its not like he posted all his uberspecs in his signature like so many people do.Except the post itself makes it seem like you feel you're special. "Am I the only one who uses a Mac"? Is almost synonymous with I use a Mac for this game, i'm special, even if you didn't think that when you made the post. And I say, Macs ARE PCs, so you're actually just playing on an overpriced PC laptop.
Don't get me wrong, I don't follow EVERY mac machine that gets released on market, so maybe what you said is true, but this was just released last year

Regardless, the thread is pointless and should be locked or closed.
Doctor! You are not alone. I play on my iMac. It took some tweaking of the settings to get optimal resultsd due to the high resolution of the 27" iMac but runs smoothly once this was done. I have had zero issues with most games running high-ultra settings on my Mac in Bootcamp. Heck some of them even play fine using Parallels virtualization now that the new version allows 1GB of virtual video memory.
I started playing beta 1 on a Macbook Pro, and now I play on a ..custom built Mac >.>
