I have been thinking that for a while actually. Met a few people here and there on forums a few months ago but they were on different servers or quit the game. I am usually a lurker on these forums, and haven't posted in a while (cuz I normally write too much), but I just wanted to say Hello to you.

It's been just me, my fiance, and my best friend playing together since launch. We took a break for a while, and then restarted all of our characters, and have been playing since the last patch. None of us have ever been in more then a 3 person party more then a few times. 4 at the most. Just beat Totorak for the first time last night with us 3. I still feel so new to the game somehow. I always loved learning things from other players... now it seems I am biding my time until YG.com and the other sites update so I can learn more.
The only reason anyone ever speaks to us is when they want or need help with something, and then they are gone and we never hear from them again. This wouldn't be so bad but they never say hi or make conversation while they are with us either. Its made 100% clear they are with us only for the help provided. I know this has been said before... but I really miss FFXI the way it was a few years ago. :< Back when they released the dancer class and I made a video going around the world dancing and seeing how many random strangers i could get to dance with me. Very few of them could ignore me dancing around them. :3 Whether or not you were interacting with people for party, missions, because you HAD to or simply because you wanted to... it was still a really nice experience for me most of the time.
FFXIV feels really lonely... and I am afraid to talk to people most of the time because they assume i want something and act rude or ignore me to get me to go away before they realize I am just saying hello.

Hopefully things will pick up in the future. I know there are great people out there that like to have fun. :3 Don't worry about the ones that don't have time to be kind. The nice ones will appear someday. <.< Though I would flip out if one person on my server waved to me or said something to me besides "Team up? Help me out!" If someone waves I will wave, ect. I am really shy but that doesn't mean I will ignore people lol. I might sh*t a brick out of shock and pounce on them if they are capable of conversation and fun times though. Be warned. nyah.
