Comment:

One of the locked doors in the Brume surely hides a seedy underground bar, where the shadier elements of the society gather. The clink of shot glasses, lighting barely catching the darkest corners and booths, smoke lingering in the air, people minding their own business.. but still somehow warm and cozy, a retreat from the cold stone and strict rules. I wanted to try to capture this ambience with some of my own flair, hoping the arrangement is still recognizable enough to fits the rules!

Thank you for putting together this competition! I really enjoyed taking part and creating this piece. After bouncing a lot of guitar based ideas around, I opted for a fully acoustic cover that remained faithful to the original song and incorporated a peaceful "sitting around the campfire" feel.

Description:

This is a collaboration with two friends of mine. Roze, who sang vocals, and Kieran, who did the guitar solo and lead guitar parts. I wanted the lyrics to make more sense, so I indirectly brought in a few important characters into the lyrics, as well as the dragonsong war in general.

Title: Just Bruming Around

For my entry I wanted to write a song that captured the spirit of the original while also offering something new and exciting. So I used the theme itself as a foundation and wove it into a piano piece with quite a few original parts.
The beginning is basically a recreation of the original theme while the ending offers a loose interpretation of the organ part. Everything in between is a mix of striking melodies, some variations and my own compositions.

Title: A Night in the Castle

I am 13 years of age and still in Secondary School. For this project I decided to use the acoustic guitar for the main body of the arrangement as that was what I felt worked. Since Ishgard is practically a giant castle I decided to film the video at some castle ruins nearby, which to me felt like it suited Ishgard.

I hope it's not too late, I tried the whole day yesterday to log into the forums but it wouldn't let met :/
Anyway, I recorded the arrangement before the sheet music was released, so everything is by ear. I sneaked in the main melodies of the other 3 cities at the end

Favourite tracks are Final Respite (Please find a way for this song to return!) and Wailers And Waterwheels for sure.
