Submission title: Steppers in the Brume

Brief comment for your entry: This is a printrbot simple metal playing two variations of Night in the Brume from midi files. The midi files were converted into gcode and loaded onto the 3D printer. This causes the stepper motors to generate tones that sound very close to some retro gaming music!

Submission Title: Colour in the Brume

Comments: When attempting to discern how I was going to write an arrangement of this, I decided to place chords around the melody that both make the progression coherent and treat the melody as extensions of those chords in order to give the piece more color.

Submission Title: Reflections of Hydaelyn in the Brume

Comments: I wanted to create something simple that incorporated multiple themes from the Final Fantasy series, so I utilized the opening FF harp theme, the battle victory music, and Night in the Brume together. I hope you enjoy it!

Comments: The main idea behind this remix was to represent the piety and military might of Ishgard through a combination of orchestral elements and metal. I wanted to create a battlecry for the Ishgardians.

Comments: I had a great time coming up with an arrangement for this piece, despite the 2:30 time limit being in immense challenge for me to get around with all that I wanted to do. Berklee skills being put to use!

Title: The Last Stand

Comments:
I'm a classical musician to the bone and wanted to do a classical take on this piece. I call it last stand, because I imagine a wintry night (so added depth to the harmony to reflect a more wintry feeling), where the collar breaks and dragons bring Ishgard to its knees. Unfortunately most of the battle elements (and the most variation) don't take place until after the 2:30 mark. Either way please enjoy both this submission and the full version (link in video). Submission title: "Friends in the Brume"

Comments: I love the medieval/Renaissance vibe of Ishgard; whenever I arrange, I tend to go more traditional. I am a part of several collab groups, so I posted a call for performers when this contest was announced, and began arranging for anybody who signed up. I called my submission "Friends in the Brume" because it was a large collab in a short span of time, and I could not have done this without the help of the wonderful community of cover musicians.

Submission title: "Rhapsody in Brume"

Comments: This is an orchestral fantasy based on thematic elements from "Night in the Brume". I composed the piece as a musical journey into the mind of the hero, and strived to evoke feelings such as sadness, tension, love and happiness. The title of the work refers to the emotions that arise upon reaching the journey's end.

Submission Title: "Battle in the Brume"

Comments: I had a lot of fun coming up with this arrangement, I hope you have fun listening to it! I went for something moody and melodic, but a bit lighter and crisper in tone; somewhere between metal and punk rock.

Favorite Songs: I love "Ifrit's Theme", "The Dragon's Dirge", and "Machinations" the most. To me those songs capture the feel of the game perfectly.

"Ishgard by the Campfire"

The theme behind my arrangement was adventurers sharing stories about their travels through Ishgard around the campfire after a long day. As such I wanted to use instruments you might be likely to find on a traveler such as a harmonica or guitar.
