New playable races and new countries to explore

    Dear Final Fantasy
I would like to bring up a few pointers there is two specific races that we cannot play and they happened to be the coolest out of all of them one being the same race as Cid and Lucia the Imperial race
The second race being Paljals they cant be so few to where there are only five in the entire world I mean right now we are playing in a very small country to the far south west hemisphere there has got to be more out there to where we can play them they would bring in some interesting jobs such as Beastmaster or trainer and other things that would very easily open up and one of these classes would also make a very wonderful bullwhip class
we are all trapped in one small country when will we be able to explore the world and visit the other countries I imagine they need the Warrior of Light and to bring an end to the War of the empire

Well firstly, the padjal are lore restricted to being servants of the elementals and are exclusively born from hyur (no other race can become a padjal), and are technically bound to the Black Shroud serving the forest's will. Hence the free-spirited, go-anywhere-do-anything lifestyle of an adventurer is completely at odds with the padjal. Hence they will never be playable.

As for Garleans, they're not even a race, they're just midlander hyur who due to a genetic quirk cannot manipulate aether in their bodies, hence they are physically incapable of using magic (which is why they developed technology, specifically magitek, to compensate). As adventurers have access to magic classes like THM/BLM again this would restrict gameplay, thus 'true-born' Garleans will again never be made as a player chooseable race I'm sorry to say.

In regards to exploring other lands, considering we still have plenty of regions to explore within Eorzea, I think it will be a while before we start travelling outside Eorzea to other continents/countries, especially as most nations outside Eorzea are just Garlean subjects anyway - although FFXIV is a different game, FFXI didn't start travelling outside the 'Middle Lands' where the game started til the third expansion pack, so as FFXIV has only just gained it's first expansion, I doubt we'll be travelling outside Aldenard/Vlybrand for quite a few years at least I'm sorry to say.

And finally, Eorzea is not in the 'far south west hemisphere' - Eorzea is roughly analogous to Africa and sits roughly on the equator into the northern hemisphere, this old thread from version 1.0 determined that. In fact, the introduction scene to ARR clearly states that Eorzea consists of the 'largest of the three Great Continents' (the other two being Islabard, being roughly 'European' where the Garlean Empire have their capital, and Othard where Doma is located and has more of an Asian feel) - the 'southwestern continent' is Mercyadia, where the ACN class and plainsfolk lalafell originated. But I digress...

I can't see Padjal becoming an open race simply because they are Hyur blessed by the Elements of the Black Shroud. On top of that, there are only 5 Padjal in existence as far as the storyline goes, 6 if you include the deceased A-Towa-Cant from the White Mage Job quest line.

They are also job specific as Conjures and White Mages only.

As soon a a child is found to be a Padjal, they are taken to the Conjuring Guild to learn the art. So a Padjal being anything, but this Job would not be sticking to the canon lore in the world.

The only one to travel outside of the Black Shroud was A-Towa-Cant, and he was a White Mage.

Then I guess they don't understand the definition of reproducing and nobody has ever taught them about the birds and the bees even single cell organisms have the basic need to reproduce and I don't care how blessed you are there still going to be people who rebelled

So yeah, while people go 'renegade', the Padjals are beyond rare to be born, and you can't force more to be born, sooooo no dude.

Bacent and Sugis are both correct - you really need to read the lore of the game Tyrantdragon which explains why the padjal are rare, why they are bound to the Black Shroud and will never be playable. They are born as regular hyur children, but at some stage in adolescence they are 'chosen' by the elementals to act as their proxy among the mortal races, which causes a physical change in them - they are literally sealed in the body of a child and no longer grow physically or even age, they're stated as being chronologically immortal (although they can still die from disease or accident, as what happened to A-Towa-Cant).

Additionally, they are physically 'marked' in the form of horns growing from their heads. Because they are physically still children (even if their mental and psychological age is far more advanced), they cannot reproduce - indeed, they would be biologically incapable of it (even Kan-E-Senna, who looks like a young teenager and chronologically is in her early twenties, in actuality her true form has an appearance far younger than how she seems, she really looks like the other padjal such her siblings - she uses glamour to make herself look older in order to ensure she is respected as a head of state - this was confirmed by Ferne during the Lore Panel at the first Fanfest).

Padjal become extremely sensitive to the aether, especially the aether that flows through the Black Shroud, are highly adept at both Conjury and White Magic (the later a lost art that is entrusted to them solely by the elementals), and effectively function as Gridania's government (the Seedseer Council). Padjal just can't gallivant around Eorzea on a whim - the elementals have to approve of it, and more often than not, refuse. Although it could theoretically be possible to resist an elemental's will, well, the fact that if a regular person angered an elemental would result in a fate worse than death for the aforementioned individual (gaining a form of negative karma called 'woodsin'), for a padjal to resist.... they not only risk their own life, but as a representative of the elementals and the spoken races both, invites certain doom on Gridania itself and all who live within it, given the fact Gridania's very existence hinges on the whim of the elementals, a pact which the padjal are an explicit component of, waking the Greenwrath is just too great a risk for padjal to gamble with.

No, padjal lore wise simply will never be made available to players for these reasons alone.
