    I agree with Grit, since your video driver is very outdated.
    I looked up the newest driver for you:

    It opens on a tab named "Individual Downloads" if not click that tab! Then download the one on top named:

    "Display Driver 58.1 MB 11.2 2/15/2011"

    Install it, and don't forget to reboot then try starting the game again.

    Note: you should check your Video settings with the FF XIV Config Tool . Just to make sure everything is fine there .

    Edit: Though you must wait till the servers are back up -_-'
