Hearing impaired players.

I know this is a stretch, but.. I was wondering if we could have the option to change our sound settings to mono? So regardless of character position or camera position, we get full sound in either side of our headset?

I just got my Orchestrion and honestly, music is my passion and I won't lie, I'm a bit disheartened that regardless of my music controls, when I pan my camera or face my character a certain way, I literally hear no music because I am deaf in my right ear.

Is this at all possible? :/

Ultimately if you have a hearing problem in one ear you might want a solution that fixes all your audio issues at once in everything.

It does say headphones but the jack is universal.

i purposely hit mute when anything one direction related is on the tv :P

I fully support this as an option in game. It should be easy to code & would help people so there's really no reason not to.

This seems like something you could change in your OS settings, which would override anything the game tries to do.

Yea. I'm pretty sure you can do this. Just needs to search a bit on how to do so.

Wasn't one of the early complaints about FFXIV that it overrides the Windows audio settings? Also, does the PlayStation allow this? I don't own one but the OP might.

I know that there are settings to modify the balance of the output, but not in FF. It would be strange if FF would ignore those settings once adjusted though.
But basically FF settings aren't the place to search. It's the OS.

there is a setting on the pc edition that allows you to adjust how relative to the player the sound is. Wat I cant wait for the ability to change aoe colors, cause im blind as a bat to the color red.
