Agreed. Luckily, deleting and reinstalling worked for me.

But it shouldn't have had to be this way. I shouldn't have had to waste about 7 hours redownloading something I already had due to a patch. Hopefully SE addresses the matter. I understand that accidents happen, but after looking here and at Reddit, this problem is pretty widespread. They need to make a statement of some sort. Ignoring the problem, and those affected, is just bad manners.
