I just bought PSPlus so I won't have to go through this again. This is the second time since 3.0 hit that I've had to completely erase the game and redownload/install everything.I read on the reddit thread that re-downloading the game was a guaranteed work around. Thankfully my character data and system data uploaded via PS+ so maybe I'll do this. Shouldn't have to though, it's clearly a bugged launcher and that should be an easy patch. I wish they separated the launcher from the main game like in FFXI. I think I'll wait it out a bit.
so i'm re-downloading as we speak, only 4 hours left! at least the launcher works now >.>
I really don't wanna have to delete and reinstal for only one reason....I DON'T WANNA RE-DO ALL MY HOTBARS!!
Is there anyway to back those up on a flash drive for the PS4 version or something?
So I'm just gonna leave it and hope Yoshi figures this out. In the mean time, I'm gonna try to download the patch on my laptop and see if it fares better.
I need a better signature.
Make sure it is a FAT32 flashdrive if you do that.
I really thought I'd lose everything. I restored my backup of my PS4 that didn't have any of my gear sets, crossbars, or HUD saved. I deleted the game. I redownloaded. It took hours. While I was really happy that deleting and downloading again worked... I was really sad about having to do everything saved over again. Much to my shock when FINALLY being able to log in again... all my stuff was still there. Even without PSPlus. Still glad I bought it. You should be fine.![]()
European subscriber here, with European PlayStation4 System.
Default PlayStation4 HDD. (not that it should matter)
Turned PlayStation4 System ON after 3.2 patch went live, went to FINAL FANTASY XIV, updated client, now Error Code CE-30022-7 - Cannot Start Application.
Official update immediately DEMANDED, immediate fix DEMANDED, subscription extended DEMANDED.
No way this stays this way. Client worked before maintenance for Patch 3.2 nothing happened on our sides.
Deleting and re-installing the game is NOT acceptable. Not gonna happen, too much data to download especially the patch updates that lock our PlayStation4 system out of any other use (unlike any other game in the system), have respect for your customers spending their hard-earned money on your product.
Fix this now.
Also experiencing the same issue. Upgraded my PS4 hard drive 4 weeks ago and hoping the restore data will position me to try updating again.
It is absolutely ridiculous for an incremental update to destroy a current install and that users have to redownload and reinstall everything from scratch.
Backup of launcher worked. The moment it updated itself? Broken again, same issue.
Still nothing. No update from Square Enix.
Tried rebuilding database, switching users, unplugging routers and power cords, restarting PS4, and contacted SONY only to be told that I should refer to Square Enix. Nothing worked.
And we have not even a freaking official explanation yet. Not only are we stripped of our chances to explore 3.2 with our friends, not only do we miss out on tons of Gil earnings on day 1 of patch, but we have also already lost a day out of our subscriptions that we of course are entitled to receive back.
Official explanation, update, fix and subscription extension immediately.
