Servers were up for a moment and after a 90k, all we are getting is 1014.

Getting the same errors when I try to log into my Balmung character, not having issues with Siren or Sargantas.

Out of all servers how come it's just Balmung I mean seriously... Do they never think we should check and see if the this error will occur like it has the other 40x in the past ><..

It's because the server is so packed full of people. We essentially ddos ourselves when we all slam the server at one time like this. Gilgamesh is much the same way. To many people hitting the server at 1 time chokes it, and forces it to crash.

I get that but is there no way they know this will happen I mean I see no other post for any other servers for same problem only 1

again, most congested server in the game. There's sadly no way to resolve this without increasing server capacity, which would increase our subs to pay for the additional physical space to house all the hardware

They could also make the server unavailable for paid transfers. Another option would be to offer free transfers off the server (with everything intact somehow) until the population subsides. I'm sure some FCs would bite. If none of these things happen however, Balmung will remain bursting at the seams with new players arriving daily via paid transfer and we'll just have to expect problems like this with every new thing that brings inactives back.
