dont, there is an easier fix.

If anyone gets an 'unable to complete version check' error like I did,

go to

Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\FFXIV_BOOT.cfg

and change

BootVersionCheckMode 0 to 1

Reinstalling isn't that bad, at least it wasn't for me. I just went to my games and deleted the whole FF14 folder,
re-clicked the icon on my desktop and it started patching right away. > .<;

It's not that it's hard, it's that the download is 23 GB.
I had to reinstall a couple days ago, took about 5 hours to download.

Anyone else having an issue connecting on PS4? It updated the launcher but now when it opens and tries to load the login section it tells me that a connection to the PlayStation network cannot be established, despite the fact that I am clearly connected and logged in.
