So got my first level 30 class quest

yesterday! used the stone to become summoner. This is lets say my first ever class to make it to 30. How differnt is it from being an arcanest?

You get different, stronger pets, bonus stats from the job stone, and a larger selection of spells to use as SMN.
You can also use SMN-exclusive gear (e.g. Relic armor, relic weapon) as SMN only.

It's better. There's no real advantage to using Arcanist once you've attained Summoner.

Summoner gets:
Stronger pets
Stat boost
Summoner abilities
-Fester: high damage
-Painflare: high Aoe damage
-Dreadwyrm Trance: damage buff
-Tri-Disaster: instantly applies all 3 DoTs
-Deathflare: massive damage
etc, etc

At level 30 there isn't a major difference but as you begin to acquire Summoner abilities, you'll start to feel how much more powerful it is.

Best way to view it, is SMN is essentially an extension of the ACN play style so the fundamental things you learned during that stage will help you as you continue on with SMN.

Congratulations. Next, be sure to pursue the level 30 Scholar questline as well, every 5 levels, just like Summoner. You don't have to actually play a Scholar to level up, and it does give you an option to branch out into a healing spec without having to relearn everything up front.

alright! Thanks all. I was wondering if i could go into healing evenually. altho i have never healed on this game xD

scholar is easy to understand with the basic healing. though to work at it on being very situational will take time to know what does what at the best times.
