    3.2 State of Anima Weapon

I apologize in advance if a thread has already been made prior to this.

So, is there any hint on boosting the current Anima weapon item level?

    Anima: 210
    Sephirot:220
    Tomestone:230
    Upgraded Tomestone:240
    Midas:245

One can afford a tomestone weapon in 3 weeks or so. In 5 weeks from today, they will add a next stage. Given the relic history, I doubt it's gonna be raised more than 15ilvls. In that sense, in 5 weeks and after some relic grind, is it acceptable for it to be worse than a 3week cap weapon?

Hopefully they will tune current Anima to 220 and update to take it to 230/235 in 3.25

Yes, it is acceptable, because this is the path that they've had since the start. Raid weapons are highest ilvl\quickest time investment, followed by Tome weapons, followed by relic catchup afterward, as it is in 3.25. Yet another reason to not grindgrindgrind and spend millions of gil.

The point is, you used to get a tomestone weapon through raid drops. Now you get such items through a 3-week cap. This only takes minimal effort and it shouldn't be compared to the relic in relevance. As for the raiding content, it has always been higher than the relic except Zeta, which is fine.

So the question was: Is it acceptable to get a weapon better than the relic without effort at all? That is what the tomestone weapon is lately, unlike raiding or relic grinding.

Except we don't know how many weeks it'll take to get the tomestone weapon. If the amount of tomestones stays the same, it'll indeed take 3 weeks of capping tomes to get enough.

However, you'll also need a high-capacity tomestone, which can be obtained by turning in an unknown amount of Midan Gears, which are obtained on your first weekly clear of A8 Normal.
It could take 3 Midan Gears, so it'd take the same amount of weeks as it'd take to get the tomestones required.
It could take 5-10 Midan Gears, meaning it's gonna take 5-10 weeks, we won't know for sure until tomorrow.

Alright, well fair enough. To that I would say its somewhat irrelevant if its "acceptable" or not. It appears to be what's going to happen. I haven't seen them retroactively change ilvl on things when the exception of the change to i150 Mistfall stuff for The Feast, so I think relics are going to remain in the same mold they've fallen into - something to grind for on "off" patches when there's less in the way of new content.

I don't recall but they did say something about adding an upgrade in pacth 3.25.
With so much to do in the earlier patches, we wouldn't have the time to grind for an anima weapon. I can see them having us do a few quests here and there and then farming a dungeon here and there and before we know it, we will have a ilvl 2xx anima weapon.

I feel that it should be stronger than the tombstone weapon though. Otherwise, the anima will lose its sense of it being an "investment."
