Problem in assigning a class to retainer

Hi guys, actually i am playing ff14 on ps4 since 3 week and speaking with my friends i noticed i have a problem with my 2 retainers.
I know i can assign a class to them and sending to venture task but... when i summon from the bell i currently only see these options

- Entrust or withdraw items
- Entrust or withdraw gil
- Sell item of your inventory in the market
- Sell items of your retainer's inventory in the market
- View sale history
- Quit


Why? maybe i missed some sub quests?

I don't recall but maybe there was a quest to unlock the ventures... Not sure. Might need to talk with the retainer vocate in any of the marketplaces as well.

Yes i spoke with the retainer vocate but nothing happened

There is a quest in the market place somewhere which unlocks this.

You have to complete one of the 3 "An ill-conceived venture" quests. There's one in each starting city

To send out retainers on ventures you need to:

1) Do a quest that unlocks ventures. (Slightly different versions of quest in each of the 3 starting cities, doesn't matter which one you do.)
2) Assign a class to the retainer. (Max level for the retainer is the level you have in that class)
3) Equip a main-hand weapon on the retainer appropriate for their class and level.

(For higher level ventures you may need to upgrade the retainers gear.)

If you indeed have only those options showing you most likely have missed the ventures enabling quest.

This post being 5 years old, im guessing he wont be answering your question. The answer should be in the posts by Ashelia_Ferron and MistakeNot. You need to do the ill-conceived venture quest, you assign them a job, and you give them a starter weapon(or tool for miner/botanist/fisher).
