New Classes

Guys hey,

I'm wondering how they are going to implement these new classes... I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the info I'm looking for.

For instance Lancer/Dragoon Pugilist/Monk - Are they replacing these classes? Or are they going to be entirely seperate from one another?

Yes. Seperate.

Basically, jobs (dragoon, monk, etc) will be specialized versions of their class counterparts. Furthermore. Jobs will be tailored to group play, while classes will be for solo. There's a bit more detail to it plus a lot we still don't know but that's the gist.

Sounds to me like they're not necessarily going to be separate.

Thank you for answering this so thoroughly. I was looking for this information a few days back and never found what I was looking for either. This definitely answered a bit of what I was wondering.

They're separate from classes though. They are an addition onto the system but they are separate.

Worded badly. What it means is which class will unlock/use which job. It was probably an answer to the question "Which jobs will Conjurer and Thaumaturge unlock?"

I was kind of hoping that either class will branch to either job for the white mage and black mage thing.....oh well. ;_;

It never asked which do they "Unlock" It said; "We already know that Lancer will turn into Dragoon" and then goes on to say "Which will CONJ be getting, which will THM be getting" It never mentions unlock.
