Server maintenance

10hrs is kind of short really considering the other major updates they have done.

The data centers and stuff are all over the world... I'd be surprised if all this stuff didn't have to be synchronized in some way. Ten hours covers having a human being being awake in every time zone during normal hours pretty much all over the world at some point during that time. It's a nice thing to have human beings being conscious at the controls when stuff could break. I'm sure they could do it faster but like, I'd rather it be a sure thing that it gets done right.

Are you seriously serious? Ok ok, sorry. Let's ask them to take it down during their night hours. When less are working. When people are no on hand to fix the broken. Ok ok bae. You got this all thought out.

The only thing I rate as more annoying than this thread is the sheer amount of "Suck it up OP" posts.

Cuz I see more "Suck it up OP" posts on more threads than I do this type of complaint thread. But yeah, go on telling OPs to suck it up guys, great use of time.

So you're saying you see a lot of 'suck it up' threads? Perhaps the XIV (forum) community just doesn't want it? Should they just sit by and not have a discussion about it...on a forum....?

@OP - they do it at that time for a reason. If they aren't careful, a small portion of players would get the jump on the weekly tome cap and end up permanently ahead of the rest of the playerbase. The game's kept down through weekly reset so this won't happen.

So much wrong here. They expect AS8 to be down within 2 weeks (I give it 5 days).
