Yes, you have a point, and admittedly I allowed it---the point was to have a number of coherent elements that could easily be recombined and modified, to cut down on the number of resources and such that would go into actually making something like this into 3d graphics. Particularly since many of the elements are fairly complicated. Also, the amount of design process I did on these was admittedly minimal-- next to no redesigning or reworking or editing, because my free time is not very much at present.
