Why no keybinds for changing/cycling thru the crosshotbar sets?

There are no keybinds for swapping to a specific cross hotbar set. This can make dragging actions/abilities/macros to your various slots on your cross hotbar with an actual mouse cumbersome. Instead, to achieve this, I've had to create eight macros, each with one line. "/crosshotbar change 1", "/crosshotbar change 2" etc... then place them on an used standard hotbar, and then assign key binds to that specific hotbar. This wastes eight macro slots and eight hotbar slots.

So are you playing with a keyboard or a controller?

If you are on controller, hold down your hotbar switch trigger and a picture of the face buttons will appear. Press the face button next to the desire hotbar number and it will take you directly to the crossbar you want.

It's probably because people who want to set up the cross-bars are generally using their controller more than their mouse. The cross-hotbars are easier to set up using the controller, whereas the straight hotbars are easier to set up with keyboard and mouse. It matches the device they'll be used with that way.

Setting up cross-bars from the controller:

    1) Select an action/item/macro/mount/etc... whatever you want to assign to a slot, and press the square button (PS style controller) or X button (XBox style controller)

    2) If not already on the cross-bar you want, switch to it using R1 (RB) and the appropriate face button:
    R1 (RB) + triangle (Y) = crossbar 1
    R1 (RB) + circle (B) = crossbar 2
    R1 (RB) + X (A) = crossbar 3
    R1 (RB) + square (X) = crossbar 4
    R1 (RB) + up = crossbar 5
    R1 (RB) + right = crossbar 6
    R1 (RB) + down = crossbar 7
    R1 (RB) + left = crossbar 8
(As soon as you hold R1/RB, it will display a diagram of which face button is which crossbar, so if you don't remember these, just know that they all start with holding the right bumper button.)

    3) Press the button combo you want to assign the action to. L2 (LT) or R2 (RT) + a face button.

I know how to cycle thru the cross hotbar w/ the controller. But only allowing cycling thru the controller means one hand ALWAYS has to be on the controller. If your using a mouse in any capacity and want to swap to another cross hot bar set, you have to take your hand off the mouse and pick up the controller, change hot bars, put down the controller and place it back on the mouse. Very very annoying.

You.. confuse me.. in which sort of situations under frequent use would you need to switch the cross hotbars when you are not using controller? You mentioned setting them up in earlier post but are you doing that all the time o.o

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

Your asking the wrong question. You should be asking how often do I take my hands off the controller to use the mouse? The answer is quite a bit.

Perhaps so, but then you're not using the cross-bars anyway. Why would you need to switch them when you're not using them?

I assure you I am using the cross hotbar. Job/class gear sets for example are on cross hotbar set 6. If I wanna change jobs/classes I switch over to cross hotbar 6 and click the particular job or class I'd like to change. What is so hard to understand? It's not like using the controller is mutually exclusive. That when one uses a controller it's not they give up using a keyboard or mouse all together.

I'm still not entirely sure why you have a feature you regularly use with mouse on a cross hotbar, instead one of the regular hot bars, unless you're very badly running out of space.
