A: This was an interesting question we saw beforehand and on a rare occasion asked the development team to answer it before the show. It seems like they are already making this, and we received the following comment from the lore team:

"As you may know, Gerolt repairs kettles to pay off his debts at the bar. He enjoyed this so much that now he's on a mission to make the "Ultimate Kettle." But, it's no easy task to forge the Ultimate Kettle suitable for this legendary weaponsmith. We have rumors of it making its way to implementation, but given that it's the Ultimate Kettle tinged with soulglaze, it's like not going to easily obtained… We hope you look forward to it!"

I've wanted one of Gerolt's kettles since ARR and the fact that it's a "relic" makes it even better. I can't wait to see this thing.

Well... Relics are usually stuff that stand protected and clean on stands surrounded by glass for people to look at...
Not something any thug would have as their favorite baseball bat to play golf with.

So in a way, relic furniture does make more sense...

Gerolt has always been trying to make that ultimate kettle, and I think it's wonderful we finally get to help? him with it, to the point where we get the chance to put it into our home once he actually does finish it.

It's just another one of those silly things that perfectly balance the constant epic seriousness and horrible grind to create the perfect FF recipe

There was also a line in the relic quest chain were gerolt said something like "and what would I do with more soul glaze? Make a bleeding relic ketlle? !"

What's funny is, as furniture, this will have more lasting impact on the game than Relics, Zodiacs, or Anima weapons... A year from now, you'll still see these kicking around peoples yards, but the weapons? Glamoured Replicas, meanwhile the actual weapon has be burned as part of a quest or something...
