Darklight Gloves of Healing- Who has recieved a pair within the last 6 months?

So, I've been farming for this glamour piece [in Hitila HM (Supposedly the first two bosses drop), and the Lost city of ambador (first boss drops supposedly)].

Now, I've had to of run both of these dungeons 50 times each (in 3 days). How do I know this? Because I started out with less than 1k gil, and I haven't completed any quests/daily duties (etc. etc.) in 3 days (since I started to farm for this dungeon). and Now I'm up to 153k gil...

Average trash mob drops 72~88g each. Lets say 30 mobs per instance (so 2.8kishgil per run) plus 1-2(rng dice rolls) pieces of gear sold at vendors for 200~800g per run, plus 1-10 trash crafting items (selling for 80~300g) so 80~3kg per run potential. Added all together... 2.8ishk+280(low)~3.8k(high)g per run from items and trash mob gil drops... gah

Do these gloves even still exist? Who has seen this item drop within the last 6 months?

Yeah, I'll keep trying as soon as I get confirmation from someone that they've actually seen this item drop. 100 runs and no drop makes me think they deleted the item from the drop table. It's a crappy piece of gear so the RNG shouldn't be this atrocious. I would pay someone the 153k I've made if this item could be sold on the MB. FFS

RNG has a tendency to do that. I'm pretty certain I've seen it in the last six months. It took me quite a bit to get my own paid when I was looking for it for glamour. The drop table is huuuuuuge so keep going!

I've dropped 3 pair in the last few weeks. Accidentally traded mine in for GC seals and needed another pair, then my friends wanted em too.

An old Whm friend of mine farmed off and on for about 8 months to get his. I had more trouble with the Darklight Boots of Healing >.>

Edit:: Also btw, they only drop in the 1st boss chest in Lost City, not at all Halatali. Halatali drops the Darklight Gloves of Casting and Darklight Boots of Healing.

Welp, I won't dispute you on the whole lost city vs hatatila thing. Even though I've received every piece of darklight equip from hatalia except the supposed gloves. Same thing with the lost city. I just finished a 20 (1st) boss clear in the lost city. So i'm up to like 70 first boss clears in the lost city now lol...

Can someone tell me if this looks right. WITHOUT getting into the whole "How FF lot distribution works per tier % in a chest". Cause I honestly don't know FF's percentage charts of a common vs uncommon vs rare (then rarity scale) for probabilities inside loot chests.

Instead... here's what I interpreted based off of statistics... Number of possible outcomes (total number of items that drop from the first chest): 23... Number of occurances: 2... Percentage of outcome desired :8.9% Percentage of outcome undesired 91.1%... Obviously FF's loot distribution mechanics are in play so I'm probably at a 1-3% outcome desired... and I'm just experiencing the worst RNG in my FF gaming career... on a crappy pair of cool looking tim burtonish style gloves... *puts gun in mouth* lol.

wait there are only 1 chest... so the occurrences are: 1:1 ratio not 1:2 ratio... so I'm looking at a 4% desired outcome (best case scenario without applying the FF loot distribution table based on rarity)... so realistically I would be lucky with a 1% drop rate... we'll see what happens when I hit 100 1st boss clears in the lost city...

lets say it takes me and one other person to clear the first dungeon boss in 5 mins to clear... best case scenario (when someone in my FC volunteers to help me 5-10 runs in a row)... at 70 clears that's almost 12 hours of game time (and most of the time I've had to that in a que) so That's 15-20mins per clear on 70+% of those clears. ugh... FF rng gods. Why you do this to me!?

Ignore all percentages in game because they're not what you were taught at school. The *only* time percentage means anything is at 0% (guaranteed never to happen) & at 100% (guaranteed to always happen). Due to how RNG works you can run something with a 99% drop rate 100 times & still never see the drop because you always got that 1% no-drop roll. Heck, you could run it a million times & STILL not get the drop! It's unlikely but perfectly valid due to RNG.

I always just look at it as a bonus if something actually goes right in game. XD
