I guess they go to give MNK players some shine, since many people always say that MNK brings no utility to raids outside of raw damage.
Spinning Edge to 50 TP
it was something good but sad wasn't including Aeolian Edge TP return to 50 and positional remove
"Yoshida: Hey look! Monk always top DPS in raid, lets buff him! Make him stronger! I dislike Ninja, because it have the lowest DPS in all melee classes, so lets just ignore it!"
SERIOUSLY! Yoshida! Please buff Ninja more! Get rid of those enmity control such as smoke screen useless skill! (please use it pvp so that "people" will EVENTUALLY ignores you #inyourdream) Give us something that can DPS please! We already have 60 or 90 or 120 sec cd on our abilities why only Monk is faster than Ninja? Ninja's jutsu mostly become useless since you removed the magic bonus dmg! You yet even buffed those jutsu skills ever since 2.4 to rebalance to 3.2 now...its more than 1 years already...
he wanna watch till all ninjas die then he actually gonna give us back 2.4 Ninja...

oh sorry let me correct it for sec... I mean when Monja soloing the mobs...but seriously I dont think you do played those classes before changes, you dont understand what im saying already
Guys...she's trolling. We need to flee. Pay no attention..."fly, you fools!"
At the very least, if healers aren't given the time to dps, or are able to have self-sufficient accuracy, all-melee comp MCHs will shit on Bard raid contribution, the Bards will swap to MCHs, casters will die out, and then the NIN spot will be guaranteed if only to Goad the Monk, about the only job (other than perhaps PLD or MT WAR) to still have TP troubles. So all good, right?
Also, you can get positionals, even back, just fine while soloing. Just takes timing and hugging the center of the hitbox.
NIN is borderline godlike, they should be happy with anything they get.

wait what did I just read?
NIN has arguably the BEST RAID DPS contribution of ANY class at the moment (except maybe BRD with a double/triple caster lineup). Those "useless" emnity skills are pure gold for getting past tricky scenarios and are equally as key to increasing Raid DPS as Trick Attack. The Emnity transfer can seriously buff a WAR/DRK's MT DPS and the Smokescreen is a godsend for WHMs. Not to mention, they already have the least positional requirements already of all the Melee DPS and one of the more flexible rotations (hence more time and leeway to do mechanics). Any stronger buffs and you may as well remove DRG + MNK from the game.
The MNK badly needs those damage buffs. It is because their class brings very very little raid DPS contribution outside of their personal numbers. They NEED to be top DPS to even compete.
I will finish by saying, personal DPS doesn't kill bosses, Raid DPS kills bosses.

Smokescreen+Shadewalker+Goad+Trick Attack+Dancing Edge = Some of the best utility in the entire game.
As a tank, I weep every time I'm in a group without a Ninja. Smokescreen+Shadewalker useless? O.o Are we playing the same game?
Ninja is and will continue to be every Tank's best friend and one of the most self-less jobs in the whole game. I <3 my NIN and wouldn't replace him with a MNK in a million years.
