Well, for one, I also do hope the costumization is there on later steps, after all, it was the most charming part of these kind of weapons.

Except I hope it's implemented in a less effing annoying manner as the previous Relic. At least we have more options nowadays to obtain materia. Still I worry about the Grade V materia. Likely going to be just as ridiculously expensive as III's and IV's were the last time we had that part of the relic to do, and then having them fail...

If you're worried about cost of Grade V materias, just do Diadem a few times. Grade V materias will only cost 20 brass spoils each.

Not joking tho... sure the unidentified can't be bought with gil but you can build up on them with dailies =___=a

At 1 unidentified item every 3 or 4 days (and only if you have non-vanu dailies capped). :P

680 poetics/680 law a piece is also pretty high. My point is these are not even remotely obtainable 'instantly'.

That was their mistake in making the 210 so grindy. As I recall, that was one of the complaints of the original relic and rather than make it easier they took that feedback and threw it in to the incinerator.

I ditch my relic since the design of Tetrabiblos is ridiculous. I might concern it back when the next step bring nice design.

No, the system we have is a result of the complaints people made along the lines of "you made the relic content too hard, we don't raid so make it easier!" And so, the relic being an easy, but tediously long grind, was born.

well the next relic steps in 3.25 will probally be another 3 steps il220-230-240.... a major grind i bet too...

Actually Relics started out being the top weapons (aside from Binding Coil which were the best by small degree), and continued to be updated with every increase in tome weapons so that as long as you had your relic weapon up to date it was still the top weapon (aside from Coil weapons).

That was my point. The raid weapons have always been the best weapons available at the earliest time. Relic weapons would catch up in later patches, and at the later stages were pretty much always BiS once you completed that stage of the grind. What I'm saying is, unrustle your jimmies cause they'll catch up again when we get the next stage.

This is a slap in the face to anyone who even wants to do relics. Why do them when they are made irrelevant? Each time tome weapons are introduced the Relic weapons should have an upgrade to put them right at the same level (or higher, but that's just personal preference because of the grind). I mean really.

Why should we even do relics at this point? It's a more difficult grind and can cost gil as well, when compare to easily obtainable weapons you can get in a few weeks just by capping tomes.

There's nothing "difficult" about doing daily roulettes and spamming hunts, beast tribe dailies, and Gordias normal, sorry.

The relic's next step will likely have an increase to compensate. It's i210 now but it won't stay that way. Relics are an investment.

I mean, if you want to take that view you can apply it to anything in the game.

"Why bother raiding? The next raid tier will have better stuff anyway."
