[3.0] Players will now be able to confirm the number of crafters’ or gatherers’ scrips in their possession when exchanging at Rowena’s House of Splendors.

Helpful, when you are getting close and do not feel like crafting a 40 script item when you need 6 to cap.

[2.0][3.0] The following recipes are now available for Quick Synthesis. The requirements for unlocking Quick Synthesis will be written in the Crafting Log.
Glamour prisms and dyes
* It will be possible to use quick synthesis for recipes which have no completion record, even if the player has never crafted it.

[2.0] When selecting the ingredients for an item in the Crafting Log, the placement of the "Search for Item by Crafting Method" subcommand has been changed.

[3.0] Craftsmanship and Control bonus parameters will be added to Souls of the Crafter.

Depending on how much, this, could actually help address the original goal. Make Specialists able to compete on a more even footing with Omni crafters.
Unfortunately, no word on limiting, removal of specialist only recipes.

It also helps lessen the need for excessive overmelding to reach certain caps or makes new caps accessible to those who have overmelded. Things have only been getting better for non-Omni-Crafters. If you don't agree, try Crafting any of level 60 Recipes with no Specialist and no cross-classes.

The only thing this really does for a high-end Crafter is to reduce the amount of materia they need to meld (If they haven't already). Trust me when I say at higher levels a small boost to anything besides CP only has a small chance to change anything in a rotation, and even then it would likely only add 2-4% Quality.

Anyone can become a "top-end" Crafter because there is absolutely NOTHING they can do that will stop a dedicated Crafter from making gil.
