agrrr i just craft the whole right side gear and off tools for my gathering classes few days ago and meld some worth materia on it.
well i didnt wear the gear yet, may should try to sell it
anyway lets see how good the new ilvl 180 gear are to compare with ilvl 170 HQ gear may not much better.

Put a CP IV materia on the 170 accessories, and they will be equal to or better than the new accessories. Same goes for belt and a Control IV. Offhand will probably take a few overmelds to get equal.

Before going all-in on the i180 gear, remember how cheap tier IV gathering materia generally is relative to crafting materia. With a few exceptions, any IV can be had on my server (famfrit) for about 30k, sometimes even less. It does get jacked up occasionally for a few days, but it doesn't really ever stay >100k for long, let alone 400k like Command IV often does. Overmelds are thus much more likely to be a worthwhile investment

ehmm when i was try to melding my 4 GP materia, i had 38 fails on a 29% chance until now i couldnt meld it because i run materia.
so even gathering materia cheaper than crafting materia, its still same investment if SE trolling you like me

If this is anything like 3.1, there isn't anything more. Everything in the notes is everything there is, the crafting/gathering stuff is just being put off until thursday.

I was looking for the i170 crafted gathering gear in the 3.2 pre notes. Sadly it seemed they will not be releasing a crafted set is which is really lame. Stats might be better on a token i180 set but I like being able to make and stat mine the way I would like it to be.
