    The mentor channel concerns

Reading the patch notes, only 100 mentors can be in the channel and 400 something newbies can be there as well. This means that if you're too slow to get registered to the channel on launch day, both newbies and mentors will suffer. Why can't there be multiple mentor channels?

Mentors also have the ability to kick out other mentors, but they must fill out a reason for it and a record of the kick will be forwarded to customer support where they will apparently revoke mentor privileges and/or punish the person if it's found that they wrongly kicked a mentor. This...might not turn out so well. Can't a GM oversee the channel instead?

Seems like mentors get removed from the channel while they are offline. That way all mentors in the channel are always available.

And the mentor kicking gets broadcast to the entire network, and it goes to customer support if they kick a new adventurer too. Essentially if any mentors are abusing the system, it will be super easy for them to get called out by other players and even punished by SE if need be.

By referring to your 'online status' it means whether your being shown as online, busy, away etc.

I think if you turn on your mentor status, you will be added to the channel, once you remove it, back to "online" or the others, your removed?

I'm fairly certain the channel won't work the way you describe OP, else no new sprouts will ever be able to join the channel and any mentor that leaves the game will be a dead slot in the channel. Those numbers are the number of concurrent online users allowed in the channel, not the total number of mentors and sprouts that can ever exist.

    Taken from the patch notes:

The Novice Network can accommodate up to 100 mentors and 412 new adventurers, for a combined total of 512 players.Provided that a space is available, mentors will be added to the Novice Network automatically upon logging in or changing areas.
I think that is fairly clear that mentors are removed from the channel when offline and rejoin when online if there is room. It states that it functions the same for sprouts as well.

It's a bit off topic but i'm concerned what will happen when the novice network is filled with multiple languages like J, E, F, and G.. It would be nice if the channel is sorted out with language barriers in mind, but the screenshot example seem to prove that auto translation will be used..

I've helped people that didn't speak any language I speak via auto-translate. It's not terribly difficult.
But if a novice asks say, a German question and you don't speak German, perhaps it's best to allow a German mentor, if one is available, to supply answers while you remain on the lookout for novices of your own tongue.
